The sound of New River Train is recognizable from a distance by several specific features. First one being the sharp tenor voice of Taras the founding member. Another is the broad variety of styles based on bluegrass instrumentation with energy and drive, including swing stuff that really swings. With the addition of new bass singer (as well as player) Train formed a solid base to build on for more acappella quartets that get to be a strong feature of the band lately. As the current line-up is not presented on any recording so far, their live performances with new songs are always exclusive experiences.
